1. FIDIC Guidelines for the Selection of Consultants

The purpose of these guidelines is to present the commonly used methods of consultant selection, to explain the respective procedures and to combine all in one compact document, as well as to emphasize and explain FIDIC 's policies on the subject. 3. Poverty and Social Impact Assessments (PSIAs)

In 2000, the IMF and World Bank agreed to work together to carry out Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA) of major macroeconomic and structural policies in PRSP countries. EURODAD has compiled this resource tool as a selection of documents on the usage of PSIA to date, and analytical and evaluative research papers. 4. The Business Model Handbook for Developing Countries

Alexander Osterwalder, Mathias Rossi, Minyue Dong , Ecole des HEC University of Lausanne, 2001 The Business Model Handbook (BMH) for Developing Countries is a proposition for a tool that has for goal to help Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) and local entrepreneurs to design business models that use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and particularly the Internet in the context of developing economies. It shall help to develop the urgently needed critical mass of knowledge workers, technology users, and motivated entrepreneurs in order to deploy ICT in businesses of developing countries. Never before the Internet has it been as easy to share and transfer knowledge in such an efficient and global way.

5. Strategic Approaches to Science and Technology in Development

7. Legal frameworks for citizen participation: a synthesis report

Experience suggests that national and local laws and policies mandating citizen participation are important enabling conditions for participation in local governance. This research project aimed to conduct a comprehensive, comparative study of legal and policy frameworks for citizen participation in selected countries in East Africa, Latin America, South Asia and South East Asia, to synthesise existing knowledge about how these work in practice and to draw lessons about their effectiveness. Selected countries in the North were included for purposes of comparison.

8. Industrial Information Network (IIN), Pakistan

The Industrial Information Network (IIN) is a joint project of UNIDO, COMSATS, SMEDA and SME Bank. The project entails establishment of a sustainable web-based industrial information network designed to become the largest source of information generation, its exchange and dissemination, towards providing value-added support and services to SMEs in Pakistan.
